  • Permanent part-time role, 30.4 hours per week; option for a mid-weekday off, or split over 5 days with flexible start/end times
  • 75,000–$85,000 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro-rated for 30.4 hrs/week, plus super, based on skills and experience
  • Preferred commencement: New Year 2026

About the Role

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you’ll be the primary contact for day to day HR administration across ASQ, owning end to end recruitment and onboarding, supporting employee separations, coordinating incident administration and WorkCover claims, maintaining HR records and HRIS governance, and contributing to HR projects. You’ll provide generalist HR advice at all levels, escalating complex matters to the HR Manager as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the entire Recruitment and Onboarding process– advertising, application screening, phone screening, scheduling interviews, preparing interview guides, conducting reference checks and deliver an exceptional onboarding experience. Partner closely with hiring managers, ensuring all recruitment aligns with ASQ’s policies and procedures.
  • Prepare compliant employment documents (letters of offer, contracts, variations, terminations, and changes to employment conditions).
  • HR Projects: Take the lead on recruitment and onboarding initiatives, develop training materials and user guides, craft presentations, and help drive process, policy and cultural change projects.
  • Compliance & HR Administration: Keep HR records accurate and up-to-date in the HRIS, manage the HR inbox with quick, professional responses, support performance and probation reviews, generate reports, and coordinate routine medical assessments, first aid, and other training as needed.
  • Provide generalist HR advice and support to management and employees at all levels, escalating complex or critical matters to HR Manager, when necessary.
  • Draft HR documents -manuals, flowcharts, presentations.

About you

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a HR generalist role with a strong focus on recruitment, administration and legislative/policy compliance.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; organised, systems oriented and process driven.
  • HRIS experience (Employment Hero preferred but not essential).
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office; comfortable with data collection/analysis for reporting.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace policies and award interpretation; prior exposure to WorkCover claims administration is desirable.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgement; outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Respectful, courteous, and a true team player with excellent time management and a customer service mindset.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure, prioritising tasks and managing competing demands while delivering quality outcomes.
